My Younger Brother's Friend Has Liked Me for a Long Time

The night Lin Yueze got dumped, he sat alone on the steps in the heavy snow, staring into space.

A black umbrella opened over his head.

His younger brother's friend, who often came over to his house and whom he'd met a few times, stood before him, bending down to look at him.

His narrow, phoenix-shaped eyes were dark and deep. In a low, magnetic voice, he said, "Brother Yueze, I'm an adult as of today."

"So, will you come to my place?"

A short story.
