A future project
He Shi is an insecure, timid man who has secretly had a crush on Lin Jianjun for eight years, never daring to confess.
Now Lin Jianjun's beloved, the one who got away, has returned from abroad. He Shi knows he has even less of a chance, but still dutifully rushes to a bar to celebrate with him.
Who would have thought he'd walk into the wrong private room and be mistaken for a paid drinking companion, then pulled into a man's arms?
The man was tall, long-legged, and handsome. He lounged on the sofa, holding He Shi as he yawned.
"Don't move. Wait ten minutes."
His voice was deep and left no room for argument.
He Shi didn't dare resist, but silently labeled the man in his mind: crazy, domineering, trouble.
What he didn't expect was that this man was Zhao Shishen, the heir to the Zhao family, whom his benefactor, Uncle Lin, had gone to great lengths to get close to.
Knowing the Lin family wanted to work with Zhao Group, He Shi considered the olive branch the man offered him for a whole night, then agreed.
After all, it was only a contract relationship. Helping Uncle Lin was what mattered most.

The first time Zhao Shishen saw He Shi was outside a hospital. The man wore a mask and was dressed like a steamed bun. He crouched on the ground, using the White Rabbit candies in his pocket to comfort a little girl who was bawling her eyes out. His panicked eyes were beautiful, like a fawn that had wandered by accident into the human world.
That very night, Zhao Shishen ran into the lost fawn again in a private room at the bar. Unable to resist the sudden "wicked idea" that came over him, he kept the man there.
Just as he'd expected, He Shi was beautiful and timid, gentle and sweet. He was exactly to Zhao Shishen's taste.
And so the cunning hunter laid his plans step by step, drawing the fawn he loved into his territory and marking him as his own.
[Reading Guide]
1. An ordinary, timid, insecure uke and a strong, straightforward, devastatingly handsome, gentle seme (1v1, uke-focused).
2. A sweet romance focused on everyday life and feelings. The uke has someone he likes in the beginning.
3. An extremely clichéd, brainless, cheesy little sweet romance. No logic, so don't overthink it or take it too seriously.
4. There is a wicked female antagonist, but no rivalry between women. She's only there because the story needs her. If that's not your thing, don't read it. Don't say you weren't warned.
