Dark Souls: Ashes Chasing the Sun

"Ah, another one who needs a lesson... Welcome, Ashen One, Lord of Cinder who would link the fire... I will never be a king."

"No... I didn't come to link the fire. But I have a reason I must go to the land of the First Flame."

This is a story about chasing the sun.

To find my sun, I became Undead and traveled every inch of Lordran.

From Anor Londo to Izalith, I witnessed that person's adventure, and I witnessed... lies and redemption.

"Don't touch that!!! Do you have any idea how long I waited in Oolacile to stop all this?! This time... I can't lose you again..."

I lost sight of my original goal, then found a new reason to keep fighting.

The sun is a lie, yet its warmth feels so real...

Just like... that fool who is just like me.

I will witness the end of his journey.

"At the bridge to the Undead Settlement, you gaze up at your sun, while I... watch mine.

As long as you are still in this world, it is still worth saving."

That day, his soul was kindled by the First Flame, so warm, so radiant...

At last... I saw my sun.

"That is why I must go to the First Flame."

I must find the sun that shines for me alone.

No matter what he has become.
