One day, Ning Mo discovered that she had become a ghost with no memories.
Without her memories, Ning Mo thought being a ghost was actually pretty nice. No worries, and she could float around instead of walking.
But Ning Mo discovered that she was trapped inside a house.
Although she was frustrated at being confined there, she had taken over someone’s home, so she decided to repay the roommate she was “sharing” it with.
Ning Mo became a snail maiden, cleaning every day and preparing three meals for her roommate.
But a week passed, and the roommate never showed up. Ning Mo sighed to herself. Looks like she didn’t have a roommate after all.
One day, Chen Yi returned from an assignment and opened the door. A soft mass came flying at him, and out of professional habit, he grabbed and pinned her arms.
“Ouch,” the mass gave a quiet cry.
Chen Yi looked down and met a pair of tearful, watery eyes.
Ning Mo had been a ghost for a week, and this was the first time she had touched anything solid, let alone a person. Although the man in front of her was gripping her hands painfully, she looked up and gave him a sweet, obedient smile. “Hello, roommate.”
Chen Yi wasn’t buying it. He thought she was a blind date his mother had set him up with, and kicked her out without the slightest mercy.
Ning Mo hadn’t even had time to celebrate being able to leave the house before she discovered she couldn’t go more than ten meters away from him.
After Chen Yi kicked her out for the third time, Ning Mo finally proved to him that she was a ghost.
Chen Yi, an avowed atheist, glanced at the girl blinking cutely at him and, as if possessed, agreed to let her stay.
He had no idea that every time he came home and opened the door, the girl who greeted him with a smile and said, “Chen Yi, you’re home,” would take up a firm place in his heart.

The officers of the X City Criminal Investigation Brigade noticed that their workaholic captain had started leaving work on time every day, ever since a certain day.
Everyone suspected that the captain’s strange behavior meant he was hiding a woman at home, so they all decided to stage a surprise raid on his place.
But there wasn’t a woman anywhere. There wasn’t even a female animal. The officers could only return empty-handed.
What they didn’t know was that after they left, their captain lay in bed with a sweet little darling in his arms, gently coaxing her. “Be good. I’ll take you out tomorrow.”
“Really? You promised me, okay?” Ning Mo rubbed against him like a cat and cooed softly in his arms.
“Mm.” Chen Yi reached out to smooth her hair, his eyes and brows tender. He was nothing like the cold-faced King of Hell he usually seemed to be.
