[Pure and Innocent Little Boy Who's Secretly Dark] x [Hot-Blooded Schemer Who's the Bottom]
Meng Wangqiu transmigrates into a book. The System tells him it's a grand tale about saving all living beings.
In the story, the original character, Shao Zhu, is the tyrannical emperor of the Linfeng Kingdom. He dotes exclusively on his bewitching consort and listens to slanderous advice, driving the once-prosperous Linfeng Kingdom into ruin and leaving its people in misery. The disaster only ends when the neighboring Tianxun Kingdom conquers Linfeng, putting a stop to more than a decade of turmoil.
The beauty blamed by all for bringing ruin to the kingdom is sentenced to death by a thousand cuts, and her remains are hung in the marketplace for years as a warning to the world.
Meng Wangqiu shakes out his sleeves, thinking he knows this plot well. "So am I the slanderous Shen Gongbao, or the Jiang Ziya from next door?"
The System smiles inscrutably. "Host, your new identity is the bewitching consort who brings ruin to the kingdom."
"????" The last tyrannical emperor who tried this wasn't nearly as absurd as this. And now he's supposed to be into men?
So Meng Wangqiu sets his sights on the young, harmless-looking emperor with an innocent face and gives himself, heart and body, to winning him over. In the end, he captures Shao Zhu's heart and has him utterly devoted, infatuated beyond hope.
The more time passes, the less Meng Wangqiu wants to leave this obedient little emperor. But the System prompts him again: "Host, it's time to move on to the next step: bringing ruin to the kingdom."
He slams a hand on the table. "Bring ruin to what kingdom? I'm done! Whoever wants to be the bewitching consort who brings ruin to the kingdom can do it. Isn't this little emperor adorable? How could I not want to cuddle him?"

Shao Zhu has plenty of little schemes.
For instance, the new young servant in his household looks obedient and adorable. He wants him, but Linfeng doesn't approve of men loving men. So he'll just have to find a way to conquer the realm and change that rule.
Then there's his new beloved consort, who acts rather strangely. Whenever he's around, the consort wears an indescribable expression, as if he's experiencing exquisite pleasure and pain at once. Shao Zhu is determined to figure out why.
And then there's the secret he discovered about his beloved consort. It seems the consort is trying to figure out how to kill him. No matter. If he won't behave, Shao Zhu will lock him up and torment him a few times.
The young emperor sits in his grand, lavish study. Shao Zhu closes the memorial in his hand, thoroughly pleased with his decision to lock Meng Wangqiu up, and even starts rubbing his hands together in anticipation.
