[Qing Dynasty] I Was Reborn as the Emperor's Grandson

The deposed Crown Prince, imprisoned in the Shangsi Court, closed his eyes.

Yinreng opened them again and found that he had become the second prince in the Prince of Kang's residence.

As he wondered who the Prince of Kang was, a young Kangxi came strolling over with the Empress Dowager, whom he had only ever been able to see in portraits.

Grinning, Yinreng toddled over and squeezed between them, enthusiastically throwing himself into Hesheri's arms. He turned his little bottom toward Kangxi and secretly let out a fart.

Reborn, Yinreng was perfectly content. He had his mother's kisses, and his own elder brother, Chenghu, always looking out for him. He could even play with his unlucky older brother from his previous life, who was still babbling away. Life couldn't be any better!

As for the Crown Prince? Yinreng watched the Prince of Kang with cool indifference. The prince had once been heavily favored at court, but lately the emperor had been repeatedly undermining him, leaving him frazzled. Yinreng smiled with satisfaction.

Grandpa is just too awesome!!!

Grandpa will always be the best!!!

Yinreng raised his little hand, showing that this had nothing to do with him. He only wanted to cuddle up to his mother, kiss her, and be picked up and held high.

Later, the imperial edict naming the Prince of Kang Crown Prince arrived alongside another edict, naming Yinreng Crown Prince's Heir.

Yinreng was utterly dumbfounded.

Later still, seated on the Dragon Throne, he watched impassively as the couple ran off and sighed. Lowering his head, he looked at the little dumpling by his feet, still drooling, reached down to pinch his cheek, and said fiercely, "Hurry up and grow up!"

"I want to go to the stars and the sea."

Notes:

(1) The Crown Prince will ascend the throne.

(2) This is an alternate history. Please don't nitpick the details.

(3) The Crown Prince is doted on by everyone. The father is loving, the son is filial, and the brothers are close.
