The Disdained Shared Substitute

The little streamer Su An'an was sick of being broke.

Everyone said there was money everywhere in livestreaming. He spent a year giving relationship advice to older men and women, lost five thousand yuan, and ended up thirty thousand yuan in debt. He heard the gaming category paid well, so he switched over.

A big spender showed up right away and said, "Play a round with me."

Su An'an wagged a finger, then wagged another. Fifty yuan.

The next thing the guy said was, "You really remind me of a friend."

Su An'an got the hint instantly. Fine, that costs extra. Sixty yuan, at least.

The big spender said, "1,000 an hour."

Su An'an sang out, "My patron saint!"

You treat me like a stand-in, and I treat you like my patron saint. We can each call it what we like.

He hadn't made much money when his computer quit on him, and the big spender started making pointed comments about how bad he was at the game.

Su An'an didn't want to lose the job, so he swallowed his pride and invited a big-name streamer he'd once looked down on: [Do you have to have a sweet little girl voice? Would a escargot voice do?]

After they played for a few days, the big-name streamer said: [Your voice really reminds me of a friend.]

Su An'an: Fine, I'm doing justice in Heaven's name. You're not getting paid for this.

Later, he signed with a talent agency and made a name for himself, for better or worse. The agency gave him the tagline: The world's other [him].

The good news: a bunch of pretend fans came in saying, "Wifey, cuddle me!"

The bad news: eight hundred rotten eggs and five thousand stinky dried fish were flying everywhere.

His haters flamed him until he hit the trending topics. The original himself showed up to confirm he was the [white moonlight]. The big boss angrily accused him of cashing in on nostalgia, and the big-name streamer cursed him out through the screen, calling him a cheap slut.

When Su An'an's contract expired, he left without hesitation.

Everyone panicked and confessed their feelings from afar.

The big boss posted on Weibo: [Baby, come back.]

The big-name streamer teared up on livestream: [I'm your cheap-ass husband, wifey. I'm sorry, sorry.]

Even their white moonlight showed up: [If you don't come back, I'll kill you!]

Su An'an looked at his bank balance and promptly quit the internet. Who the hell wants your love?
