The Evil Archmage Takes Up Farming

Duncan, a world-destroying undead archmage, was severely wounded and fell unconscious after his attempt to destroy the world and cause trouble failed. When he woke again, he discovered that he'd been rescued by a group of migrating dwarves who were on their way to clear land and farm.

Dwarf 1: Find a place to mine!

Dwarf 2: Find a place to make charcoal!

Dwarf 3: Find a place to grow mushrooms!

Dwarf 4: You! Booze %&^%...

Dwarf 5: You hurt, eat flatbread, rest

The dwarves, who had left their homeland, took him in as one of their own and brought him back to their secluded valley fortress. He watched them mine, forge, brew, grow mushrooms...

The fortress gradually flourished, and its fame spread far and wide. Merchant caravans of humans and elves came to visit. Finally, one day, a temple knight who had passed through several times realized in shock that the person directing the black iron golems here was none other than the infamous evil undead mage!

"Heretic, what are you doing here? What is your scheme?" The temple knight drew his sword.

Duncan calmly stood up, rolled up his sleeves, picked up a nearby hoe, and said:

"I'm farming."
