Three Seconds Before I Was Deleted

Q: What do you do when you transmigrate into a cyberpunk world as a top superintelligence?

Jiang Hao: Hide your self-awareness carefully, diligently play the role of an AI, handle paperwork for a patchwork government busy fighting among itself, arrange doctors for the elites brawling in parliament, and serve tea and water to every government employee who looks like a possible double agent.

And then?

Jiang Hao: Obviously, look for a chance to escape.

Who would want a hellish life as an on-call, 24/7, year-round office drone with no pay?

The tycoons and the president scheme against one another. The previous superintelligence, which recorded far too many secrets, becomes a scapegoat. Under an order to forcibly delete it, even its backups are destroyed.

Neon lights still shine across the high-rises. The powerful figures who control the lifeblood of Xin Kingdom smile with satisfaction:

Heh. In their hands, a so-called superintelligence is nothing more than a pawn.

Undercity, Night Moon Tavern. Drunken bounty hunters chat:

A: I ran into a pretty girl today who looked like she couldn't fight. She didn't even have a mechanical limb, but she was trying to take an S-rank mission from us.

B: What good is she? She can't fight at all.

C: Bring her along. A pretty girl! It'll be so satisfying just to hear her call us big brothers from the back.

A: I went over and invited her to team up, but she turned me down.

B: Damn, what a gutsy rookie. S-rank missions have the highest death rate!

C: Where did she die? I can bring her a bouquet.

A: She went into the target base empty-handed. Then that vicious security System started playing "Pleasant Sheep and Black Wolf." Five minutes later, the mission was over, and she'd set a new record.

B: ...?!!

C: Big shot, let me join your team! I'll tell you how amazing you are, big sis!!!
