Bending at the Waist

[The original premise didn't really grab me, so I changed it to this]

The Prince of Huainan, now past forty, had recently taken a new concubine. She had lustrous hair, a slender waist, and a face as lovely as a lotus.

Every frown and smile captivated the heart, leaving countless sons of noble families dreaming of her.

The Prince of Huainan's heir, Wei Ci, had won great military honors at a young age.

Yet he was sinister and had never shown any interest in women.

Until one day, a maid saw the prince's new concubine springing up from the heir's lap in a panic, her clothes disheveled.

Su Jiao had once been a noble young lady, but her entire family fell into disgrace and she was sent to a military camp.

To survive, she climbed into the tent of the Grand Commander of the Southern Garrison.

Later, when the army returned to court, Su Jiao lost her protector. She bribed a servant that very night and escaped.

To clear her family's name, Su Jiao sought out an old friend of her father's and prepared to use her beauty to climb the ranks, one step at a time.

She set her sights on the Prince of Huainan's heir.

But just as she fell into his arms, his low, husky voice made her shiver from head to toe. “What should I call you? Jiao Jiao... or my stepmother?”

Wei Ci was cruel by nature. There was only one person who knew this and still charmed him, clung to him.

He gave her what little kindness he had, but she ran away behind his back.

She even became his elder and tried to climb into someone else's bed for a better match.

When she fell into his arms again, he lifted the young woman's chin, his expression dark. “If you want power, then you'd better stay clinging to me forever.”

Otherwise, if she clung to someone else, he would cut them down.

Later, that haughty Grand Commander personally arranged the young woman's hair and asked her again and again, “Jiao Jiao, would you like to marry me today?”

#She was born bewitching, and he bowed before her.

#No blood relation
