I'm Just an Ordinary Investigator

As an avid anime fan and tabletop role-playing enthusiast, Lin Shiyue transmigrated after dying, and somehow got bound to a tabletop RPG System. Every few days, he has to act as an investigator and solve a case.

As the saying goes, an investigator's three great tools are the Elder Sign, a crowbar, and friends.

As a perfectly ordinary investigator, he naturally has neither of the first two, but he does have friends!

The young master of the Atobe conglomerate, with 90 Credit Rating: "I bought this hotel."

The strongest white-haired sorcerer, with 90 Spot Hidden: "How could you miss something this obvious?"

The hat-wearing combat powerhouse, with 90 Brawl: "Come at me all at once. I'm in a hurry."

The human embodiment of black sludge, with 90 Intelligence: "Isn't this kind of thing easy to figure out?"

They're all his staunchest allies! Whenever there's trouble, he turns to his friends. That's always been his principle.

And, as everyone knows, these big shots from all walks of life have friends of their own, too.

A miracle-working physician, a genius high school detective, a demon-slaying exorcist from a family tradition, even a hacker and a con artist...

But when all these big shots finally met, they realized something:

They were all friends with the same person!

Notes:

1. This is my take on tabletop RPG stories, with cosmic horror elements and lots of house rules. Everything follows the author's own settings.

2. Professional terms will be explained in detail, so even newcomers who've never played tabletop RPGs can enjoy the story.

3. No CP in this story. Everyone and the protagonist are purely friends. Investigators don't need romance (?).

4. Most of the protagonist's actions in the scenarios are decided by the author's dice rolls, so the story may feature dramatic ups and downs, and then more downs (?).

Theme: Friends stick together for life
