The Ghost Looked Like It Had Seen Me

Ruan Qingyan, the thirty-fourth-generation direct-line Celestial Master of the Maoshan Sect, is suddenly pulled into an escape game one day. If she dies in the game, she dies in real life too.

This is what her daily life in the game looks like.

Ruan Qingyan: This room has bad feng shui. Let's find another one.

Teammate: I don't believe a word you say.

The next day, the teammate who stubbornly stayed in that room dies.

Ruan Qingyan: Put this talisman on the door tonight, and the ghosts won't be able to get in.

Teammate: You'll be the death of us with your talismans! You must be trying to kill us!

The next day, the teammate who didn't put up a talisman dies.

When they face a monster

Teammate: Help! I don't want to die!

Ruan Qingyan casually throws out a Thunderbolt Talisman and blasts the ghost until its soul is annihilated.

And so, all her teammates say: Boss! Do you need anyone to serve tea, run your errands, and massage your arms and legs?

Everyone thought the boss was destined to go it alone, but who would have thought that the cool, ruthless, few-words Ruan would fall for a sweet, delicate little puppy?

The little puppy follows Ruan Qingyan around all day. One casual "Sis, I'm scared" is enough to make her maternal instincts go wild.

But only the ghosts know the truth: this seemingly timid little puppy is actually their real boss, the legendary King of a Hundred Ghosts, ruthless and infamous for killing without batting an eye.

Bai Su in front of Ruan Qingyan: Sis, I'm so scared. Are we going to die here?

Bai Su in front of all the ghosts: Touch a single hair on her head and you're finished. (smiles)
