My Master Only Wants to Retire

Gu Wenyin, master of Wuyin Peak in the Tianji Sect, is a transmigrator and a veteran of bad luck.

After decades of hard cultivation, he plans to hand the position of peak master to his eldest disciple, Lin Haoxuan, then leave to become a wandering rogue cultivator.

But he lets his guard down at the worst possible moment. Lin Haoxuan takes advantage of the situation, steals him away from the Tianji Sect, and seals his memories.

So Gu Wenyin wakes up with his memories reset to before he transmigrated, and his hopeless disciple fools him at every turn.

When Gu Wenyin unexpectedly remembers everything, he thinks: I've never been this speechless in either of my two lives!

Speechless or not, he can't ignore his disciple turning to demonic cultivation. Gu Wenyin decides to take the idiot back to the Tianji Sect and get his head checked.

Unfortunately, nothing goes smoothly. One mishap after another crops up along the way, and Lin Haoxuan openly declares that he has improper intentions toward his master. He keeps finding excuses to flirt and test the bottom's limits.

Gu Wenyin stays calm on the outside, bewildered within: I just want to retire. Where do you get all these melodramatic lines?

Lin Haoxuan looks like he's on the verge of tears. "Master, I've worked myself to the bone cultivating just so you might look at me a little longer, but you keep thinking of abandoning me! Do you think I care about being peak master?"

Gu Wenyin's expression is impassive. "...All feasts must come to an end."

Lin Haoxuan gives a cold laugh. "Who says it has to end just because you say so? Clearly, the only way to stop you from leaving is to break your arms and legs and lock you up!"

The founding ancestor puts down the hideously tacky admission brochure and decides to hide his identity and go to school.

On the first day of class, Chu Xiaojun uses the alias Chu Chen, publicly criticizes an elder's teaching methods, and steals the spotlight from every angle.

That night, he runs into Song Yupei in the dorm. Before long, the two of them get along famously.

...In the physical sense of "get along."

Legend says Song Yupei is backed by a mysterious organization. He's not only cold and ruthless, but unreasonable too, and his name is enough to stop children from crying.

But in Chu Chen's eyes, Song Yupei is a neat-freak of a mother hen, who works hard at cultivation with a bunch of cat-loving friends and still finds time to fish by the river and feed the cats.

...Could anyone be more domestic?

Chu Chen is wild, free-spirited, and never stops causing trouble as long as he's alive. Song Yupei helps clean up his messes with a cold face, moving the founding ancestor so much that he wants to pass on everything he's ever learned.

Then he discovers that he flirted with Song Yupei a thousand years ago. He really was a scumbag.

This is a disaster. Money debts are easy to repay, but how do you settle a debt of love?
