The Man Who Fell into a Bandit's Den (Extra Chapter)

Zhao Jing's side story, followed by side stories for Huo Yan and Yaoyao!

Newly completed: "After the Fallen Emperor's Consort Became Attached to Me" (a tough, hotheaded little punk x a cold and aloof imperial consort)

If you're interested, you can add this to your reading list: "The Charming Concubine's Son and the Merchant's Wife" (a seductive, shameless temptress who goes to great lengths to lure him x a sharp-witted, calculating merchant who pretends to be indifferent; ps: the male lead is a virgin, the female lead isn't)

Or maybe I'll start a modern-day story called "My Childhood Friend from a Matriarchal Kingdom Is Such a Crybaby" (working title), haha.

Blurb:

Male lead: The first time Yan Xing saw Luo Qi, she was helping his fiancee collect a debt from someone in the middle of the street. She stood in the road like a menacing brute, wearing the fearless, ruthless look of someone who didn't give a damn about anything. Her eyes roamed over him without restraint, her undisguised desire utterly repulsing him.

The second time he saw her, he was hiding inside a wooden chest filled with bolts of fine silk, while she had slipped into the palace to loot a few valuables during the city's fall.

Everyone was busy running for their lives. No one cared anymore whether he was a lofty imperial consort or a lowly palace servant.

The once-luxurious imperial capital was now nothing but scorched earth.

But from the moment Luo Qi chose to save him from beneath that barbarian, Yan Xing knew he could never leave this woman for the rest of his life.

Female lead: Luo Qi used to be called Luo Qiniang, since she was the seventh child in her family. She grew up chasing cats and dogs and going hungry, barely literate, and had to make a living through disreputable work.

She was a fierce fighter and knew how to get things done. Everyone around the docks knew the fearsome reputation of Luo Qiniang.

A rough, uncultured sort, she'd just started making a name for herself when she found a scholar to give her a new name, picking the fanciest one he could come up with.

Damn it, who knew that a little hoodlum from Luo Village on the outskirts of the capital would have such great prospects one day? It's just that the cold, gorgeous beauty in her household's back courtyard, who makes her heart ache, is making her work for it.

Ps: Both leads are virgins; male pregnancy.

Theme: Everyone has their own little happiness!
