Is He Trending for All the Wrong Reasons Again Today?!

Sharp-tongued, ambitious TV host x growth-oriented rich second-generation CEO (Content warning: casual sex and exes)

Blurb:

A host audition takes Cheng Tian from being the hot favorite to win to failing to make the top ten. For everyone else, it's a moment quickly forgotten. For Cheng Tian, it's the difference between heaven and earth.

After that, he has to shamelessly hustle, running here and there for six years before finally making a name for himself as a "famous" sharp-tongued host, hated by everyone online.

Search his name on Weibo, and all you find are "Cheng Tian, get out of showbiz," "Why is Cheng Tian's mouth so nasty?" and "Why is that dead gay Cheng Tian still around?"

Scroll down further, and it's one vile insult after another.

Every day, he makes time to go online and search for himself, petty enough to memorize every username that insults him, then quietly curse them out before bed.

Being a jerk is still better than being broke and unemployed.

Hate him all you want.

At the year-end gala, he's invited to host the red carpet. Of course, he's mainly there as a scapegoat for the big players, someone to draw fire and give fans of the various stars a chance to vent.

Who knew that after having a meal and a nap, he'd wake up in a big shot's bed?

What had he done to deserve this, skipping over all those glamorous idols to go straight into the big shot's bed?

The guy was great in bed, well-endowed, skilled, and good-looking. And as for resources, he kept sending them Cheng Tian's way, letting him take his pick.

This was so damn worth it!

Cheng Tian is dazzled by the big shot's lavish spending, completely falling for the sugar-coated bullets and unable to escape.

Later, he cries, throws a fit, and threatens to hang himself, but still can't shake off the man who approached him with ulterior motives from the very beginning.

Bonus scene:

The day their relationship is exposed, Cheng Tian shoots straight to the top of the trending list. The "scandal" tag makes the public outrage plain to see.

The same old hate hashtags are all replaced by couple-related topics: "Cheng Tian sold himself for fame," "I'll never forgive Cheng Tian for stealing someone's husband!" and "This is outrageous! When are they breaking up?"

He scrolls through his phone with relish, then kicks the man beside him, who's reading documents. In a cool tone, he says, "They're asking when we'll break up."

Li Yan simply shuts his laptop, leans over, and kisses his incessantly chattering lips. "We'll never break up!"

P.S. Neither the gong nor the shou is a virgin. There are misunderstandings and exes.
