An old-school story of coercive romance. The male lead is the only one in love with the female lead. He is deranged and utterly lacking in empathy toward everyone except her. If that bothers you, please read with caution.
Blurb:
Wei Ying had no clear memory of when he first realized he lacked the ability to perceive human emotions. Simply put, he had an emotionally detached personality disorder.
He had no empathy and couldn't relate to other people, so the pain and joy of ordinary people seemed to him like fools making a fuss over nothing.
A highly intelligent misanthrope with no ambitions in life could easily "go astray" in search of thrills and satisfaction. Then, at eleven, he followed Zhou Yun to the Xiao household and discovered something more interesting than chasing thrills.
Xiao Yuan was Xiao Musheng's only daughter. Zhou Yun's disgraceful entrance into the family made her hate Wei Ying as well, simply because she hated his mother. From childhood onward, she never showed either of them the slightest kindness.
But in Wei Ying's eyes, the proud little swan was all bark and no bite. She clearly wanted to cultivate an aloof persona, yet her so-called conscience always got in the way. For some reason, he found that fascinating.
As time passed, the more he watched her, the more he loved her. The more he loved her, the more he wanted her, until he wanted to keep her all to himself!
But the little swan didn't like him. She wouldn't even look at him. He was so heartbroken!
What should he do? He'd build a magnificent golden cage and lock the two of them inside. It would hold only him and her, and from then on, she would only be able to see him!
That way, they could be bound together for all eternity! No one would ever be able to separate them, and no one could ever take her away!
Note: There is no romance or intimate content between the leads before they reach adulthood. They are not related by blood and are not registered in the same household. The story begins in the year the heroine turns nineteen and takes her college entrance exams. They're both adults.
Content warnings:
1. Dark themes
2. The male lead is not a good guy in the conventional sense
3. Coercive romance and obsession
4. The female lead does not love the male lead
5. SC, HE
[Please add this next novel to your reading list! It's the kind of angsty, male-tormenting breakdown story I love, but the heroine will have a rough time at first. Neither lead is a good person, so please don't read if that's not for you.]
A scammer with no moral compass vs. a cold-blooded man who's no good either
Blurb 1:
At the main entrance of the Golden Hall, Qi Si looked through the car window at the intimate couple outside and suddenly felt like the world's biggest cuckold.
The person who had been sulking and telling him over the phone just two hours ago that she was tired and wanted to rest had just given him the biggest surprise of his life!
Qi Si suddenly wondered what Shi Liangyue would say when she saw that he was about to give her a "surprise" of his own. Would she use that nimble little tongue to argue her way out of it, or burst into tears and fall to her knees to beg for forgiveness?
But when he caught sight of Shi Liangyue's fingers intertwined with the man's, he suddenly lost all curiosity about how she might explain herself.
He never thought that one day he, Qi Si, would be played like a fool by someone so despicable.
How utterly stupid. He was so stupid he couldn't help laughing at himself.
"M-Mr. Qi..." His secretary had never seen the usually composed, refined, and dignified CEO reveal such a terrifying expression. It was cold and dark, enough to make anyone panic.
"Run into them." His voice remained low and emotionless, but every word was icy.
"W-what?"
The secretary hadn't understood. Qi Si's tone was so calm, as if he were casually asking for something perfectly ordinary. But the CEO of Huanyu never spoke without a reason, so... The secretary exchanged a nervous glance with the driver. Neither dared refuse nor actually carry out the order.
Qi Si's cold gaze swept over the front seat. Then he suddenly reached out and pushed open the car door.
Two words flashed through the secretary's mind: "We're doomed!!"
Blurb 2:
To outsiders, being able to make a living in the Qi family of Yuncheng was like having struck incredible luck in a past life.
Shi Liangyue had once naively thought the same. But she had entered the Qi family under shameful circumstances, so she never got to enjoy the life others envied. Even living like a normal person was a luxury.
When a wooden table more than three meters long crashed into her and made her vomit bile, she looked at the young man who had leaped onto the tabletop and was strolling toward her with lazy ease. All she could do was clench her jaw and force down the bitterness.
The youth looked down at her, not a trace of feeling in his eyes. "If you're born low, you need to know your place."
Shi Liangyue laughed coldly to herself. She knew she deserved all of this. Someone like her, whom fate had never once favored, would have to endure dozens or even hundreds of times more hardship and pain than others to get what she wanted.
So she didn't resent it. This was her choice.
But one day, she would be the one looking down on others.
Note: The leads are not related by blood. The male lead will go mad. There are no good people.
Theme: Face hardship and strive to rise above it.
He is abusing the female protagonist throughout the whole process. It looks like he but is actually be. Can you add a side story where the female protagonist falls in love with the male protagonist? I really hope that the female protagonist can get self-salvation. At least falling in love with the male protagonist will not be so painful. It's a bit miserable now.
I really don't know what to say... Reading this book all night long is my punishment. The author is satisfying himself. Xp, making readers suffer
What is this... I'm confused. I actually ordered all of my c. The female protagonist also hated the male protagonist in the end. The male protagonist didn't respect the female protagonist at all. Even if he robbed her by force, it couldn't be written like this. The male protagonist really saw it. I wanted the female protagonist to run away and never let the male protagonist find her again.
It was painful to read the whole book. The male protagonist is simply a white-eyed wolf. If this setting is removed, this book will be very good.
Who knows? This is an article from 2022. I have to read it out every year. It's really good. Lovers of rape and robbery will be ecstatic.
I beg you to continue writing. I can't find any meal replacement.
It feels like the heroine has been fighting the monster of the hero all the time, but she can't get through the level 😂
It's been a long time since I've seen such an enjoyable plunder. I didn't dare to think that I could see it in Xiaolujiang. I read another one first. I found out that the author really loves writing about paranoid male protagonists. He's so crazy about the paranoid heroine. I love it to death. When will the next one be released? I took a look and only wrote three books. It's been a long time since I wrote a novel. Has the author stopped writing? Come on, I haven't found an author who is so appealing to me in a long time. Don't stop writing.
The ending is the same as eating a fly
It's better to stab the man to death. He doesn't deserve a good ending.
