[I'm planning to write this one next. Please add it to your favorites! It's my favorite kind of story: a heroine-hunting-the-hero-down-as-he-goes-mad. The heroine has a rough time at first, and neither lead is a good person, so please don't read if you can't handle that!]
A shameless con artist heroine vs. a cold-blooded man who is no good either
Qi Si couldn't remember when he had started wanting more than to be Shi Liangyue's lover in the night.
Blurb 1:
At the main entrance to the Golden Hall, Qi Si looked through the car window at the couple behaving intimately and suddenly felt that he was one hell of a cuckold.
Just two hours ago, she'd been on the phone, pouting and complaining that she was tired and wanted to rest. Now she'd given him such a big surprise!
Qi Si suddenly wondered how Shi Liangyue would talk her way out of this when she saw that he had prepared a "surprise" of his own. Would she use that nimble little tongue of hers to argue her case, or would she burst into tears, fall to her knees, and beg for forgiveness?
But when he spotted Shi Liangyue holding the man's hand, their fingers interlaced, he suddenly stopped caring how she'd explain herself.
He never thought that he, Qi Si, would one day be played like a fool by someone so despicable.
How utterly foolish. He was so foolish that he couldn't help laughing aloud.
"M-Mr. Qi..." The secretary had never seen the normally composed and dignified CEO show such a terrifying expression. It sent chills down his spine.
"Run into them." His voice was still low and even, but every word was icy.
"W-what?"
The secretary hadn't understood. Qi Si's tone was so calm, as though he'd casually asked for something perfectly ordinary. But the CEO of Huanyu never spoke without reason, so... The secretary exchanged a nervous glance with the driver. He didn't dare disobey, but he couldn't bring himself to actually do it either.
Qi Si's cold eyes swept over the front seat. Suddenly, he reached out and pushed open the car door.
Two words shot through the secretary's mind: "We're doomed!"
Blurb 2:
To outsiders, being able to make a living in the Qi household of Yuncheng meant you must have somehow found favor with some divine being.
Shi Liangyue had once naively thought so too. But she had entered the Qi household under disgraceful circumstances, so she never got to enjoy the life others envied. Even living like a normal person was an impossible dream.
When she was struck by a solid-wood table over three meters long and vomited bile, she looked at the young man who had leaped onto the table and was strolling toward her with lazy indifference. She could only clamp her teeth shut and force down all her bitterness.
Looking down at her from above, the young man's eyes held no trace of emotion. "If you're born low, you need to know your place."
Shi Liangyue sneered inwardly. She knew this was what she deserved. Someone like her, who had never been favored by fate, would have to endure dozens or even hundreds of times more hardship and pain than others to get what she wanted.
So she held no resentment. This was her choice.
But one day, she would be the one standing on the table, looking down on everyone else.
Note: The leads are not related by blood. The hero will go mad. There are no good people.
