The Eight-Hour-Shift Simp

[Also known as "Guess Who's the Real Doormat?" and "Even Sucking Up Has to Follow Labor Laws"] Lin Yao spent twenty whole years working herself to the bone, only to realize just before she died that she was really a lazy fish. Back in high school, she devoted herself to being her deskmate's doormat. Not for any other reason than that his future company would be right next to her home. Lin Yao: Good pay, easy work, close to home. Perfect plan. Cen Jing: What?! My deskmate, who only has eyes for studying, is suddenly going out of her way to please me. Does she want to date me? Lin Yao: Not really. I just want to work reception at your company. A halfhearted doormat VS a furious, untouchable beauty Cen Jing: You were so enthusiastic before. Why are you suddenly so cold? Lin Yao: I'm tired of sucking up. Damn capitalists. One of these days, I'll hang you from a lamppost. * Cen Jing once wondered if Lin Yao had a split personality. How else could he explain her being so enthusiastic toward him during the day, then ignoring him at night? Later, he learned that some people uphold labor laws strictly, even when they're doormats: nine to five, weekends off, and every holiday free. Lin Yao: Eight hours a day. One second more and she's lost. Theme: See clearly what you truly want
