The 1980s: The Supporting Female Lead Rewrites Her Own Story

Wang Yujiao finds herself in an unfinished novel set in a bygone era, cast as a tragic female supporting character. According to the plot, her mother will be driven mad by her grandmother, her father will die in a car accident, and her female lead cousin will impersonate her to go to college. She and her sisters will be left helpless at the mercy of others...

Wang Yujiao: Can I change the plot?

Cousin: Don't waste your time. That's your fate!

Wang Yujiao, furious: To hell with that!

Wang Yujiao refuses to give up and slowly changes the story through her own efforts.

Step one: Turn her sickly mother into a master of comebacks.

Step two: Turn her clever but unambitious father into a hardworking rural tycoon.

Step three: Turn her two sisters, nearly scared witless by their grandmother, into top students.

Step four: Move the whole family to the city.

Meanwhile, at her cousin's house, everyone argues nonstop. They have to borrow money to buy salt, borrow money to go to school, and her cousin fails the college entrance exam...

From the very start, her cousin has been waiting to coast to victory. But as she waits, she gets more and more anxious.

Why hasn't Wang Yujiao's mother gone mad yet? Why hasn't her father died? How did her family get rich? I have Wang Yujiao's college admission letter, so how did she manage to enroll?

Only when a pair of cold handcuffs finally arrive does her cousin completely lose control. "You said I was the female lead! Why has everything changed?!"

Wang Yujiao: What, surprised? The book isn't finished yet, so I still have a chance to change the plot.
