I Want to Be the Grand Madam

1. Ye Xuanxuan transmigrates one day and becomes a helpless sixteen-year-old girl. Because she's so beautiful, the lecherous crown prince sets his sights on her. Ye Xuanxuan refuses, and the crown prince yells, "Unless you marry an eighty-year-old man, you won't escape my grasp!" As she tries to run away, Lord Xie, the eighty-year-old Grand Secretary's grandson, eighteen-year-old top graduate of the imperial exams Xie Moyang, rescues her. 2. Under pressure, Xie Moyang takes Ye Xuanxuan home, but to his surprise, she turns around and marries the Grand Secretary, who has only one breath left. She figures that once the old man dies, at least his eldest grandson will be there to provide for her in her old age. Ye Xuanxuan starts taking care of the old Grand Secretary while fussing over his eldest grandson, completely ignoring his clenched teeth and fury. Before long, the Grand Secretary uses the last of his strength to write a divorce document. "Xuanxuan, I married you that day only because I had no choice and needed to protect you from the crown prince. You are still an innocent woman, so this marriage doesn't count. Once I'm gone, take good care of Moyang for me." Ye Xuanxuan is dumbfounded. Just like that, she loses her title as the Grand Secretary's wife? 3. After the funeral, Ye Xuanxuan realizes she's no longer the Grand Secretary's wife. She quietly packs her things and sneaks out to climb over the wall in the middle of the night, ready to run away again. Halfway over, her foot slips and she falls into a warm embrace. Xie Moyang asks through gritted teeth once more, "Are you still trying to run away?" Ye Xuanxuan grimaces and rubs her sprained ankle. "That's strange. I've climbed this wall so many times and never fallen before." Xie Moyang picks her up and carries her inside. "That's because I greased the wall." Ye Xuanxuan: ... Theme: Be sincere with others.
