I Opened a Restaurant and Won Over the Crown Prince

1. Xiao Rongrong, owner of the Chunlai Inn, lost a bet and was forced to bring home a beggar who was at death's door.

After cleaning him up, Xiao Rongrong was surprised to discover that the beggar was handsome, had a body packed with muscle, and could beat up bullies and fix tables and chairs.

Delighted, Xiao Rongrong added a new task to her daily routine: keeping an eye on her staff while sneaking a few glances at the new guy. Life was sweet.

Just as Xiao Rongrong was clicking her abacus beads, planning to make him work for her for free for the rest of his life, the beggar ran away.

Xiao Rongrong sighed. Where else could she find such a capable employee?

2. After Crown Prince Gu Chongrun returned to the palace, he developed a strange habit: every day, he complained that the Imperial Kitchen's food tasted terrible.

His picky eating made Gu Chongrun thinner and thinner.

The noble young ladies across the city all wondered who had made His Highness the Crown Prince so lovesick.

As he ate the tasteless dishes from the Imperial Kitchen every day, Gu Chongrun missed that shabby little inn outside the capital terribly. And, well, its owner, too.

3. Just as Xiao Rongrong had returned from the crossroads disappointed for the umpteenth time, a richly dressed young gentleman suddenly showed up at the inn.

Xiao Rongrong angrily tossed down the ledger. "You left, so what are you doing back? I don't owe you any wages!"

Gu Chongrun picked up the ledger from the counter with his long, slender fingers. "Boss, you may not owe me wages anymore, but shouldn't you pay me for sneaking glances at me every day?"
