A Guide to Balancing Red and Black Faction Strength

So, after talking about the severe imbalance in combat strength between the Red and Black factions, the goofy members of our cosplay group joked around as usual, saying they should join the Black Organization as genuine liquor to balance the scales. They even said they would cosplay this setup and meet up at the convention.

If we hadn't transmigrated, it would have been just another running joke among goofy internet friends.

If. We. Hadn't.

That's right, we transmigrated. Haha. (Nervous laugh.)

Our golden fingers after transmigrating are limited to the experiences of the characters we cosplay and a System bound to a manga forum.

To survive past the ending, we have to complete a main quest: by the manga’s conclusion, the real-world audience must believe that the Red and Black factions’ combat strength is balanced.

But, System, take a look at the characters we're cosplaying! (Chokes up.)

Like Moriarty, the Black Organization's criminal consultant who can see right through people.

--Character inspiration: Dazai.

A magician who values money and his own life above all else, and thinks anything can be settled as long as there's enough cash.

--Character inspiration: Marik.

A blond genius scientist with an IQ of 220 who sees humans as monkeys.

--Character inspiration: Kusuo Saiki's older brother, Kusuke.

The leader of the Church of Hope, whose luck swings wildly between E and EX.

--Character inspiration: Komaeda.

Seriously, isn't it a waste to put these world-destroying beings in the Black Organization?!

So, to complete the main quest, the cosplayers have to kick the Red side’s bento boxes around and add people to their side, while even holding back when their character settings allow it.

The cosplayers: Life is hard. The cat sighs. (Teary-eyed.)

Reading Guide:

1. The cosplayers are cosplaying anime characters in a Black Organization genuine-liquor AU. Their characterizations generally fit the original, with some personal additions, and they have extra memories of past events that never happened.

2. OOC and illogical. A fix-it story with a happy ending.

3. Ensemble cast, no couples. Interpret relationships as you like.

4. There are gender-swapped elements, but the characters’ current identities are what matter.

Theme: Never give up trying.
