Back Before the Villain Turned Dark

Qi Lingyin was breathtakingly beautiful, born with an immortal's grace, and had a bright future ahead of her. Everyone said she was destined to ascend. Until the battlefield between immortals and demons, when the seal on the Demon Abyss shattered and demons flooded into the world. She gave her life to seal the Abyss, buying ten thousand years of peace. From then on, Qi Lingyin became the unattainable ideal in the hearts of countless cultivators. After Qi Lingyin died, the Heavenly Dao shoved a copy of The Villain's Secret Crush Journal into her hands and told her to read every word. It was about to send her back to be reborn. The person the journal's owner secretly loved was her. “Tell me, who's secretly in love with me?” “Yu Hanshi! Yu Hanshi! Yu Hanshi!” “You mean that guy from the academy next door?” “Yes, the ruthless, gloomy, heartless villain who starts a war to destroy the world.” “Please, save me.” “Do you want me to knock him back onto the right path?” Qi Lingyin returned to her younger days with the secret-crush journal in hand and stopped a young man at the academy next door. He was strikingly handsome and seemed easygoing. In a gentle voice, he called her “Junior Sister Qi.” “Excuse me, is Yu Hanshi, that ruthless, cold-blooded, violent fellow from your Swordsmanship Academy, here? I want to fight him.” The handsome young man was taken aback, then told her Yu Hanshi wasn't around. Qi Lingyin asked for his spirit-message contact and told him to message her when Yu Hanshi came back. On the first day after being reborn, Qi Lingyin didn't meet the future villain. Half a month after being reborn, Qi Lingyin still hadn't met the future villain. Two months after being reborn, Qi Lingyin still hadn't met the future villain. Qi Lingyin sent the young man a spirit message to ask what was going on. He asked her, “Are you looking for Yu Hanshi, the cruel and merciless one?” “That's right.” “He's not here.” A month later, Qi Lingyin urged him again. He asked her, “Are you looking for Yu Hanshi, the cold, callous, savage brute?” “That's right.” “He's not here.” “Are you looking for Yu Hanshi, the unreasonable bully who picks on his fellow disciples?” “That's right.” “He's not here.” Later, Qi Lingyin took her spirit communicator and went to find him. With the junior brother from the academy next door guiding her, she finally met the future villain, Yu Hanshi. Could someone explain why the supposedly gloomy, heartless villain was that handsome young man? The Heavenly Dao has done me wrong.jpg Reader's Guide: 1. An academy progression story.
