After Becoming Cannon Fodder, I Joined a Dating Show with My Archrival

A scheming, shameless top x a fake green tea, real sweetheart bottom. Sweet romance, no angst.

Lin Yanyu transmigrates into a story about a universally adored beauty, where he's a fussy, spoiled side character whose life is about to be cut short. Then he suddenly discovers something even more ridiculous: the first male lead has been possessed too, and the person who possessed him is none other than Lin Yanyu's sworn enemy, Ling Zhou.

Lin Yanyu: ...Damn it, what a pain.

Ling Zhou: (smiles)

To survive the original plot, Lin Yanyu grits his teeth and puts up with Ling Zhou's shameless antics. But Ling Zhou only gets worse, taking him straight onto the dating show where the original story's protagonist had stolen the spotlight.

On the show, just as the audience eagerly awaits a dramatic catfight between the universally adored protagonist's suitors, Ling Zhou suddenly says, "I choose Lin Yanyu."

Now it's not just the protagonist who's stunned. The audience is stunned too.

After that, the more Lin Yanyu tries to keep a low profile, the more Ling Zhou escalates, leaving the protagonist utterly aggrieved.

Lin Yanyu finally can't take it anymore. "You want to make my life miserable? You think I'm a pushover?"

So the audience is shocked to see Lin Yanyu suddenly change completely. Gone is his former timid, submissive attitude. Now he smiles brightly and boldly every day, wrapping an arm around Ling Zhou's and saying, "Honey, I want the biggest diamond."

To keep from breaking the persona he'd established earlier, Ling Zhou is silent for a long moment before he can only say, "...I'll buy it."

"Honey, I want strawberries, but I don't want to eat the seeds."

"...I'll pick them out for you."

"Honey, I want an egg pancake, but without the egg."

"...I'll go make it for you."

Audience: ...Damn, this couple is kind of fun to ship. Have I lost my mind?

The tables have turned. Lin Yanyu finally has the upper hand. "After all these years, did you really think I didn't know how to handle you?"

Ling Zhou: "...A gentleman can wait ten years to get revenge. You'd better watch yourself."

In the final episode of the dating show, Lin Yanyu teases Ling Zhou as usual. "Honey, marry me."

"Sure. No time like the present. Let's go now."

"Okay... W-wait! What did you just say?!"

Netizens: You two still aren't married?! Now! Right now! Get to the civil affairs bureau! Don't make me get down on my knees and beg you!
