The Jade Dressing Table

I want to write a historical romance that doesn't take much brainpower. If I do, it'll probably be free, and not very long. I think I've had this one in my coming-soon list for two or three years now. I'll see if inspiration strikes. ()

The blurb is just for reference. The setting might change by the time I get to it. I've never written this kind of story, so I'm not sure what it'll turn out like. The heroine isn't strong, and she might be pretty awful, since she lacks empathy and doesn't know how to love someone. The ending will be happy. I've said a lot, but I really don't know how it'll turn out.

Not a strong heroine. Pure historical romance, set in an imaginary world with no concern for historical accuracy. Probably a melodramatic, Mary Sue-style love story, full of complicated romantic entanglements. I'll just let loose and write!!!

Yu Yanling never thought of herself as a good person, but she had shown kindness twice.

Once, at a banquet in the imperial palace, she saved the foolish Sixth Prince from drowning.

Once, in her youth, she saved Chu Yi, who was then the heir to Prince Huaiyin, while traveling back to the capital with her mother.

Time passed, the past faded away, and Yu Yanling closed her eyes, then opened them to discover that she had been reborn in her youth. Once again, she was traveling back to the capital with her mother.

Only this time, she thought, she would never save Chu Yi again, and she wouldn't save the Sixth Prince either.

The heroine is a great beauty, and everyone loves her.

The hero is the Sixth Prince, Song Xuan. It's an older woman-younger man romance, with the heroine three years older.

Theme: You cannot step into the same river twice. Face life's challenges with an open and flexible attitude
