Shi Ting Quan is a college student with terrible luck. Wherever he goes, a small flood is sure to follow.
Today the faucet leaks; a few days later, the water dispenser breaks. Summer isn't too bad, but in winter, even the classroom heating can explode, spraying water all over the room.
A classmate he gets along with once advised him: "Why don't you find an expert to take a look at you?"
Shi Ting Quan politely declined, saying he didn't believe in that sort of thing. Inside, he could only smile bitterly. What if he ran into some overzealous righteous expert who decided to capture him?
After all, he was Fu Zhu, an ancient calamity beast whose very appearance heralded a flood.
The Divine Beast Administration recently launched a program called "Equality Among Divine Beasts, One-on-One Support," intended to make full use of the calamity beasts' and ferocious beasts' abilities and ease tensions between them and the auspicious beasts, who represented the mainstream righteous path.
Of course, the actual methods weren't nearly as nice as the name suggested.
Song Cheng Ke, one of the auspicious beasts, was assigned a "support partner" too. But... wasn't this calamity beast way too harmless?
He stared at the calamity beast before him, whose spiritual power was so weak he was no different from an ordinary person, and silently lowered his hand, ready to strike.
"Hello, I'm Song Cheng Ke from the Public Security Division of the Divine Beast Administration. I'd like you to cooperate with our work."
Shi Ting Quan's eyes widened in shock. Damn, an expert had found him?
