The Police Academy Crew Holds a Team-Building Trip on the Grand Line

Coming soon: Those Frail Outsiders [Detective Conan + One Piece]. Blurb at the end~

Blurb for this story:

After the Black Organization is destroyed, Rei Furuya, having dropped his Amuro secret identity, looks at an old childhood photo and remembers his childhood friend who died on an undercover mission. The next moment, he is swept into another world. Amid the chaos, he sees a photo of his friend once again, only this time... the yellowed paper reads "WANTED" above the photo, with an astronomical bounty printed below.

Hiro! How did you turn bad?!

Matsuda, who died for the public good, suddenly finds himself in an age ruled by pirates. From the start, his identity is that of an assassin for a secret government organization. That would be fine, except... he looks at the file on his mission target and falls into a strange silence.

Rei Furuya! Can't you ever make things easy for people?!

Hagiwara's body perishes in an explosion, but he wakes up in another world. He gladly accepts the fact that he has been reborn, though he still misses his friends, far away in another world. Then one day, his superior tells him to get close to an assassin codenamed Pine and do his best to turn him. But...

Jinpei! Have you really gone astray at last?

Hikaru has spent years in the One Piece world. While vacationing with his partner, Shanks, he happens upon a news story in a local paper: the third prince of the country where they are staying, long neglected for years, has launched a coup in an attempt to overthrow his father. But...

Zero? So in this world, you're starring in a palace-intrigue drama?

Content warnings:

- Although this is tagged no-coupling, there is a pure romance subplot between side characters. The only romantic pairing is Hikaru (bottom) and Red-Haired Shanks (top), and it doesn't take up much of the story. It continues from my previous novel, Savior, but you can read this without having read that one.

- The other members of the Police Academy group have no romantic pairings. Their relationships are all platonic.

P.S.

1. The four characters won't get equal amounts of page time. Some will have more, some less, with Matsuda as the protagonist. My writing skills and courage are limited, so I can't promise to write a mature ensemble cast novel on my second try. But in a way, this story is also an attempt at writing an ensemble cast.

2. Date survives in the original world and will not transmigrate to the One Piece world. The story will explain why he survives.

3. This continues the world of my previous novel, Savior. Relevant worldbuilding will be explained as it comes up, so you can read this without having read the earlier story.

4. This is primarily a One Piece fanfic, with a little Detective Conan. The One Piece worldbuilding follows the anime up to episode 700. In other words, I can't imagine how the plot and world will develop after that, so I'm writing based on the source material we know for sure so far. *shrugs*.

5. The protagonists all transmigrate from the Detective Conan world, but it has little page time, so you can read this without knowing Detective Conan.

Coming soon: Those Frail Outsiders

Blurb:

Nan Ge is nineteen this year, in the prime of his youth, and already a permanent fixture at Impel Down, the great underwater prison.

His favorite pastime is using Observation Haki to gather gossip, then selling it on, indirectly causing a surge in brawls inside Impel Down and even repeatedly taking advantage of Warden Magellan's bouts of stomach trouble.

Perhaps even Heaven couldn't stand seeing him enjoy such a lovely, retired life. On the eve of his twentieth birthday, Nan Ge discovers that he has awakened a special ability.

Every time he falls asleep, he goes to another world.

Woohoo! This is what freedom feels like!

One day, Rei Furuya, using the alias Toru Amuro, sneaks into the CEO's office of a certain corporation to steal confidential information. In the deep of night, a sudden, glaring light bursts in through the doorway.

A young man leads a group of security guards through the door. Lit by their flashlights, he seems to be wreathed in the glow of justice. "That's him!"

Rei Furuya is so furious his hands shake. The first thing he does when he gets back to his safe house is message Rum:

[I was bullied at work.

P.S. Is White Whale Vodka really not an experimental subject that escaped from the research division?]

The "Prison Break System" has recently bound itself to a Host: a young prisoner who was just fifteen when he went to prison. Gifted and helpless, his life seems tailor-made for it.

That is, until it sends this Host to a new world...

Why is a veteran prisoner bound to an illegal System doing good deeds?! Do you even want to gather enough energy to break out of Impel Down?

*

The protagonist, Nan Ge, is an original character from the One Piece world.

The main story takes place in the Detective Conan world, where the protagonist will ultimately stay and continue living.
