What Should I Do When I'm on the Opposite Side of My Lifesaver?

After his undercover identity was exposed, Hiromitsu Morofushi ended his own life, only for his consciousness to be swept into a fantastical world of the Grand Line, where law and order leave much to be desired.

Once out of danger, he found a ship and left the scene, but his transportation promptly sank.

As his consciousness began to fade, he felt utterly desperate. It was bad enough that this body couldn't swim, but why was he allergic to seawater, too?

Shanks never expected that a stroll before bed would lead him to find a cat-eyed boy. The little cat-eyed boy seemed obedient and sensible on the surface, even volunteering to help in the kitchen, but in private he was always agonizing over something. Finally, after getting drunk one day, the boy told him what was on his mind: "You should turn yourself in."

Amid the deafening laughter and teasing of his crew, Shanks cheerfully pinched the boy's cheek. Looking into those bright blue catlike eyes, he grinned. "Nope. But if little Hiromitsu came to arrest me himself, I'd be looking forward to it."

Content warnings:

The protagonist transmigrates from Detective Conan into One Piece. The story focuses on One Piece, with very little Detective Conan content, so you can enjoy it without having read Detective Conan.

The protagonist starts out on the Navy's side, but that will change later.

The romance may not take up a very large portion of the story.

There are many original interpretations, so don't worry about scrutinizing every detail.

I'm a new writer, so please be kind to me!

And I hope to get lots and lots of comments!

After the Black Organization is destroyed, Rei Furuya, no longer using his Amuro Tooru secret identity, looks at childhood photos and mourns the childhood friend he lost while undercover. The next moment, he's swept into another world. Amid the chaos, he sees his friend's photo once again, but... above the yellowed paper are the words "Wanted Poster," and below them is an astronomical bounty.

Hiro! Why are you a criminal now?!

Jinpei Matsuda, who died for the public good, suddenly finds himself in an age ruled by pirates, and from the start, his identity is that of an assassin for a secret government organization. That's all well and good, but... as he reads the dossier on his target, he falls into an eerie silence.

Rei Furuya! Can't you ever make things easier for everyone?!

Kenji Hagiwara's body perished in an explosion, but he woke up in another world. He readily accepted the fact that he had been reborn, though he still missed the friends far away in his old world. Then one day, his superior told him to get close to an assassin codenamed Pine and do everything possible to persuade him to defect. But...

Jinpei! Have you really gone down the wrong path at last?

Hiromitsu Morofushi, who has lived in the One Piece world for years, is vacationing with his partner Shanks. In a local newspaper, he sees a story about the third prince of the country where they are staying, a prince who has long been neglected, launching a coup to overthrow his own father. But...

Zero? So in this world, you've got a palace-intrigue drama script?

P.S.:

1. The four characters' storylines won't be divided equally. Some will have more, others less. Jinpei is currently planned as the protagonist. My writing skills and courage are limited, so I can't promise to write a mature ensemble story in only my second book. In a sense, though, this is an attempt at writing an ensemble story.

2. Apart from Hiromitsu Morofushi, the protagonist of my last book, there won't be any romance involving the other members of the police academy group. Their relationships with one another are all platonic.

3. The class representative survives in the original world and won't transmigrate to the One Piece world. The story will explain why he survives.

4. This continues the worldbuilding of my previous book, My Savior. Any related details will be explained, so you can read this without having read the previous book.

5. This is a derivative work focused on One Piece, with a little Detective Conan. One Piece worldbuilding and related details follow the anime up to episode 700. Basically, even I can't imagine where the One Piece plot and worldbuilding will go from here, so I can only write based on what's established in the original so far. *shrugs*

6. The protagonists all transmigrate from the Detective Conan world, but it features very little, so you can read this without having watched Detective Conan.

Thanks so much to all you sweethearts who added this to your collections!

And to those who haven't yet, please add it too, hehe!

Love you all!!!
