[Blurb]
Lin Mu has worked hard for years, and at last he can transfer from the exhausting upbringing team to the record-keeping team, where there's hardly any work. Then one sentence sends him right back to square one.
His supervisor: "Still thinking about retirement? Take a look at what you've raised!"
Lin Mu is thoroughly confused. To retire sooner, he really has been choosing worlds with hellish difficulty from the moment he joined as a rookie.
Even so, whenever he faced a disastrous from-the-start scenario and an ungrateful little brat, he did his utmost to set the protagonist back on the right path, never letting any protagonist turn into the obsessive, paranoid nutcase they were supposed to become after the plot went off the rails.
Lin Mu: "Other than occasionally dying a little too carelessly, what did I do wrong?!"
With his protest rejected, Lin Mu has no choice but to enter these small worlds again and fix the broken timelines and their protagonists.
Seeing the protagonists he raised again, Lin Mu is moved. Looking at how dignified, humble, polite, and capable they have become, he decides that the broken timelines in these worlds definitely aren't the kids' fault. The problem must be with the timelines.
So Lin Mu confidently drops his secret identity and shows up at their door. The protagonist is quite understanding and quickly accepts his "return from the dead."
Lin Mu: "Let's start investigating what's gone wrong. There are a few places that feel off to me, so I want to check them out."
Protagonist: "No, Lin Mu doesn't need to investigate those things."
Lin Mu: "?"
Protagonist: "Because Lin Mu doesn't need to leave here, does he?"
Lin Mu: "..."
...Something seems wrong here.
