[Synopsis]
Rong Jian was the first healer born in the dark age when every esper in the interstellar world was suffering from the backlash of evolution.
Though there were occasional rumors that he had a sharp tongue and held grudges, every esper he treated had to admit that Rong Jian possessed a charisma that made people depend on him without even realizing it.
No one expected that someone so calm and gentle, a person who seemed to embody hope, would pass away so young.
Rong Jian himself hadn't expected it either.
He hadn't expected that even after dying, someone would dig him out of his grave and put him back to work.
More precisely, the "System" dug him out.
Rong Jian was told that he was the "white moonlight" of a scum gong in a melodramatic novel.
After the "white moonlight" died young, the scum gong shut himself off emotionally and refused treatment from any other healer. He came close to breaking down several times, and while forced to accept a "substitute," he was drawn to the sunny protagonist shou.
As the villainous "substitute," his job was naturally to meddle in their relationship, make their journey to love more difficult, and exit the story in tragic fashion.
Now the plot was stuck at the first step: the scum gong couldn't find a substitute who looked similar enough.
So the System came up with a bright idea. If nobody else could capture the feeling of the white moonlight, why not have the white moonlight himself do it?
Rong Jian: Darling, you really have quite an imagination ^-^
And so the great Dr. Rong began to "diligently" play the substitute.
For instance, he habitually walked into his own treatment room and even switched on the housekeeping robot along the way.
For instance, during a treatment, he gave his patron that familiar feeling, then angered him enough to storm out a second later.
For instance, after someone was praised, he remembered how that person had looked in his youth, with those dead-fish eyes, and laughed out loud.
System: Please, could you at least try to act the part?
The Empire's youngest major general had a poor relationship with that healer. Every time the man asked him to undergo treatment, the major general looked as if he were being sent to a funeral.
After the healer died, that was only confirmed.
Because the major general really had never visited his grave, not even once.
Behind his back, everyone said that perhaps he was the only person in the entire interstellar world who felt relieved by Rong Jian's death.
That relief lasted until one day, when a new healer appeared in front of the major general.
Major General: You're allergic. Why are you eating the chocolate he gave you?
Rong Jian: Oh, I thought I wouldn't be allergic in this life.
Major General: ...
