About Accidentally Running a Detective Conan Mystery Module

In 20■■, the real world released immersive tabletop role-playing game pods, bringing players into direct contact with the boundless cosmic horror of the Cthulhu Mythos and humanity's courageous struggle against it.

A few tabletop RPG fans in the real world eagerly bought the pods, added one another as friends, and started playing a scenario written by their friend, a professional game master.

GM: This is a small town on China's coast...

Huai Zhi [Zhu Jian]: China? (Looks around at the hiragana on the shop signs.)

Jimo Xingruo [Wei Sheng Xing]: A small town? (Squints against the dazzling neon lights of the metropolis.)

Huaisheng [Zhu Qing]: Coastal? (Looks up at the night sky, almost entirely blocked by the steel jungle.)

GM: ?

Dice: I'm a dice goddess who loves critical successes.

Still the dice: I'm the one who makes the cat. I'm an unlucky 13, and I hate you all. (Punch of critical failure.)

Meanwhile, the players: *stare at the weapon in their hands and the dead culprit who was used as a sacrifice, wondering how the hell things got this bad.*

Bad news: The locals of the Detective Conan world have discovered that their world isn't logical anymore.

Good news: It's become Cthulhu Mythos-like instead.

A few things to know before reading:

The Black Organization may get a redemption arc, depending on how things go (it was definitely all Nara○'s doing (?)).

Based on real events (meaning the dice rolls).

This is based on our group chat's tabletop RPG sessions. The game master hid it because it was so ridiculously stupid... I forgot the rest. Anyway, I was really moved.

There will be character deaths, and the locals from the Detective Conan world will be psychologically scarred (.). There are also legendary moments where a player runs their mouth and tries to act against an NPC, only for the GM to stop them.

There may be romance between player characters and non-player characters (.).

The Black and Red sides join forces to save the world.

There are multiple player characters. If one character dies, thousands more will rise (.). So I guess this counts as a secret identity story (?)
