Nearby, Yinglong was putting on a fire-breathing show and trying hard to roast something, while a tiny-legged Hou chased dragons a hundred times its size without even breaking a sweat. Then there were the dragons being sent flying in all directions by a long-eared kitty.

Bai Xian was bewildered.

"Dragon Lord, they all have dragon blood. They're all dragons!" Qinglong Meng Zhang stood nearby, refined and courteous. "Promote the image of the dragon clan and restore its standing. Dragon Lord, you have to do your best!"

And so, people across the stars discovered that the formerly foolish son of the richest family had suddenly become clever, and had even summoned dragons.

Why was Bai Xian's dragon different from last time? He didn't have just one dragon!

No, don't panic. What if his dragons couldn't beat the bugs? What good would having so many do? People across the stars frantically reassured themselves, until...

They saw a massive wave of dragons rampaging through the bug swarm, sweeping away huge numbers with a single swing of their tails. Some even carried bug crystals in their mouths and delivered them to the young man. The entire interstellar realm erupted!

Bai Xian smiled calmly. "Come join the Dragon Clan Revival campaign! Let's work toward one dragon for every person. You deserve a mighty little dragon that recognizes its master and knows how to act cute!"

Notes:

1. This novel was inspired by a game. The first dragon and the card-collecting premise are similar to the game, while the rest of the setting is original. I occasionally do some research, such as into the nine sons of the dragon and whatnot, so please go easy on me if you're someone who likes to examine every detail.

2. This is a feel-good power fantasy, and there probably won't be any truly awful characters. Feel free to leave comments with suggestions.

3. More than a hundred dragons will be summoned. Lots of details and names still need to be created, so if you're interested, you can join in! See you in the comments.

4. The dragons in this novel combine features of Western and Eastern dragons, and come in all kinds of varieties. You can even think of them as pets rather than dragons. Some may not look much like dragons at all, but they will have dragon traits such as claws, teeth, wings, and scales. Supposedly, the dragon clan doesn't care about interspecies marriages, and the Dragon Ancestor's illegitimate children are scattered everywhere. Who knows? Hehe.

5. Here's the latest setting for Hou: Hou is a cute, fluffy creature with dragon blood, a rabbit-like appearance, and the full name Wangtian Hou. It is an auspicious beast.

Its sibling, Hou, who shares neither parent with it, is a zombie. It has a doglike body, is a man-eating monster, and is a ferocious beast.

Synopsis:

When Shi Yuan woke up, he was told he was going to die. If he didn't complete a mission, all he could do was wait for death.
