What's Wrong with Being a Hopeless Romantic?

The first time Zhi Xu saw Lin Mushen, he fell for the cold, handsome campus heartthrob.

Thanks to his wealthy family, he soon made Lin Mushen his own.

When Zhi Xu casually held the poor Lin Mushen in the palm of his hand, bullying and humiliating him at will,

he never expected the tables to turn years later.

He fell from the top of the tower into the mud.

The poor boy he'd once toyed with at will became an untouchable scion of a wealthy family.

Years after being separated from Lin Mushen,

Zhi Xu was a mess: his family had fallen apart, he was hitting dead ends everywhere, and he'd been forced to sign a contract selling himself.

He looked up and saw Lin Mushen's cold face.

The man stood over him, his eyes dark and fathomless, impossible to conceal.

He bent down and whispered in his ear like a venomous snake: "Long time no see."

Although the blurb above sounds like some old-fashioned, melodramatic tale of suffering, heartache, and bloodshed, where you run away, he chases you, you love him, and he hates you, neither protagonist is right in the head (...), so none of the above will! Happen! At! All!

Those who knew a little about their tangled past couldn't help sighing as they looked at Zhi Xu's melancholy, pale face:

"President Lin is so cold. Just looking at him is enough to make your legs go weak, and with the past you two share, life by his side must be..." So painful, right?

Zhi Xu swallowed the supplements he'd been forced to take on schedule, looking glum. "He's just a little shy."

The other person: ???

You really know what shy means.

A defeated rival sneered, "President Lin, how does it feel to have been mistaken for a broke nobody and toyed with while you were down and out?"

Lin Mushen: "My wife is still young."

The other person: ??? Forever young at heart, huh?

The protagonists: The whole world is wrong, not my husband/wife.
