Keep Quiet

Speech is the most primitive form of human communication.

Lin Xu says no more than three sentences a day, one of which is "Still water, please." His company has three ironclad rules: Silence, silence, and keep quiet.

The proposal doesn't meet standards? Send it back for revisions.

The data in the file is wrong? Send it back for revisions.

Lin Xu never directly points out what's wrong or what he wants them to focus on. Employees have to figure it out through telepathy. If they fail to meet their KPIs by the end of the quarter, they're fired.

The main reason employees can put up with him is probably that he pays 18 months' salary, gives a year-end bonus worth three times their salary, and provides supplemental health insurance. He'll even pay for full-mouth porcelain crowns. Female employees also get photofacials, Thermage, and skin hydration injections.

When Lin Xu's ex-boyfriend finally couldn't take it anymore and broke up with him, he said, "You haven't met a single human being you can communicate with! Why don't you make one yourself?"

That sounds like such a hassle. Lin Xu frowned slightly, prepared to be a lone wolf forever.

Who could have guessed that love would come knocking... and keep chattering away from morning to night? Lin Xu's tightly furrowed brows gradually relaxed. From then on, all I have to say is how much I love you!
