After We Broke Up, I Designed Your Champion Skin

Retired esports pro x concept artist, reunite at the start

1. At Qi Baiyu's retirement ceremony, a fan asked him, "You've won three championships in seven years as a pro, with all those honors under your belt. Have you had any regrets along the way?"

Qi Baiyu thought about it. "Getting dumped by my first love in my first year as a pro?"

He had never had a single rumor about his love life since his debut, and was known as the model of professionalism. The fans immediately perked up, eager for the gossip.

A bold longtime fan asked, "Brother Qi, why did you get dumped?"

"No idea."

Qi Baiyu shrugged. "He told me, 'Let's break up. Just pretend I'm dead.' Then he blocked me."

Laughter rippled through the crowd.

A fan asked, "What's the thing you most want to do after retiring?"

Qi Baiyu smiled. "Win him back?"

Soon, alongside #QiBaiyuRetires, #QiBaiyuGotDumped and #QiBaiyuStillHasFeelings trended on Weibo.

That night, Qi Baiyu was having drinks with a friend at a bar. As he was about to leave, he saw the first love who was supposedly "dead."

It seemed like he had been waiting for Qi Baiyu.

But Qi Baiyu passed him with an expressionless face.

He didn't even look back.

2. That winter when Xia Qian dumped him, Qi Baiyu sent countless messages and begged desperately in the blizzard, but never saw him again.

He truly hated himself.

Qi Baiyu thought.

Yet it wasn't until they reunited that Qi Baiyu learned that the original art for every one of his champion skins had been done by Xia Qian.

Every stroke was a silent expression of longing.
