What a Coincidence, You're Not Human Either

ovo 1. Bian Ling was a failed prototype in a synthetic-human experiment, abandoned on Earth. Synthetic humans were created by implanting high-tech weapons into the human body. Because the experiments were too inhumane, they were strictly outlawed as early as the year 3000, and any discovered specimens were to be destroyed. Forced to hide his identity while looking for work, Bian Ling could only write code without revealing his high-tech abilities, so he took a job as a coder at a small company to make ends meet. Only later did Bian Ling discover that it was a secret base run by Earth's military. Later, for some inexplicable reason, he was assigned as Colonel Nuobing's personal secretary. It turned out that the most dangerous place was the safest place of all. Bian Ling: (╯' - ')╯︵ ┻━┻ 2. The base came under attack. To protect the colonel, Bian Ling had no choice but to reveal his abilities, turning one hand into a machete and the other into a missile launcher to blast the attackers back. Although Nuobing was the only one beside him at the time, Bian Ling knew he was about to be executed. When reinforcements arrived, Bian Ling silently shrank into a corner. To his surprise, he wasn't destroyed. Instead, the office took on a whole new look: Nuobing: "Kid, the food at the base is awful. Go make me another meal." Trembling with fear, Bian Ling used the blade that had formed from his right hand to cut the steak, while controlling the heat with the flamethrower in his left. Nuobing came over. "How can you tell if it's done without turning on your pupil sensors?" Bian Ling turned them on and took a look. "C-Colonel..." Nuobing: "Speak." "It's... it's burnt." - The shou: Not human.
