2. The story is set in Hong Kong in the 1980s. Cantonese is incredibly, incredibly hard for an adult like me to learn! So the dialogue is in Mandarin. I’ve tried to recreate the city of that era, from the setting to everyday life, but the language is just too difficult, my dears.

3. They are each other’s one and only. No promises about how sweet it’ll be. Happy ending, around 200,000 words. Enter at your own risk.

4. Golden silk jade is very hard and stable, and is used here to symbolize the heroine’s steadfast character.
