[My new novel, The Safety Net, is now underway. My upcoming novel, Catching Up, is listed at the bottom. Please add it to your reading list.] [The novel is complete! If you bought the whole book, please leave a five-star review. Thank you!]
○ A feisty girl who gets revenge on the spot × a sharp-tongued, soft-hearted gentleman│Game streamer × esports pro
-
As Panda TV's most popular game streamer, Cheng Jinyou was pushed by her company into a partnership with the GR club.
The club's manager suggested meeting up, claiming he was bringing their most sincere offer.
And so, on Tomb-Sweeping Day, Cheng Jinyou unexpectedly reunited with Pei Yingshi.
The light in the private room fell across his sharply defined face, and she couldn't help staring.
Pei Yingshi looked at her for a few seconds, then lowered his head and played on his phone. "Tsk, she looks a bit like my ex."
The manager was just about to tease him for acting up when Cheng Jinyou pulled out the chair beside Pei Yingshi and sat down.
She smiled at him. "Could it be that..."
"I'm your ex."
-
"She stayed by my side through countless hardships, only to leave on the brightest day of all."
○ Both leads are troubled, and genuinely so
○ The game is based on PUBG (the same goes for Game for Peace)
○ Romance comes first, gaming is secondary
○ Enjoy!

With her wedding fast approaching, Lin Tingwan changed her future husband, throwing the whole world into chaos.
In her eyes, everything had a clearly marked price. Whatever she wanted, she would inevitably have to pay something in return.
Including Ji Chen.
So she didn't dare dream of anything else. She only wanted to use him to climb the ladder, one step at a time.
Later, when they really did have a falling-out, Lin Tingwan was still fuming when Ji Chen bent down to kiss her. In a fit of anger, she slapped him.
Ji Chen laughed mockingly and looked down at her.
He caught her hand and turned his head to kiss her palm. "That wasn't as loud as last time, sweetheart."
-
Lin Tingwan was in a bad mood, so she went looking for happiness at the bottom of a glass. As always, Ji Chen took care of the aftermath. Crouching in front of her, he patiently coaxed her.
"Being happy is good, but your health matters too. You need to feel better in your heart and in your body."
Lin Tingwan looked at him expressionlessly. "Is that what you're asking of me?"
"I'm begging you," he said. "I'm begging you to love yourself."
-
She dares to act so recklessly because someone will always catch her when she falls.
Upcoming novel, Catching Up
* A pessimist × someone with a terrible temper
* Veterinarian × fire and rescue team captain
In the early hours of a rainy night, He Zhiyu picked up a puppy by the fire brigade headquarters and took it to an animal hospital that was still open.
The bright lobby was bustling with people.
Wen Chuyin, dressed in a white coat, entered his field of vision.
After signing in at the front desk, she told him to take the puppy to Operating Room One.
She glanced at him along the way.
A fleeting glance, light and emotionless.
He Zhiyu gave a self-mocking laugh.
She hadn't recognized him.
-
The seventh time He Zhiyu showed up at the hospital, Wen Chuyin stopped him outside the operating room.
Her expression was as indifferent as ever. Her voice was gentle, but every word cut deep.
"Don't come here anymore."
His memories snapped back to three years ago.
He Zhiyu laughed in anger. "Wen Chuyin, do you think I'm that pathetic?"
-
A wildfire broke out in the northern suburbs, and Wen Chuyin headed up the mountain as the leader of a temporary wildlife rescue team.
The wind picked up during the rescue. Choking on the smoke, her eyes reddened.
He Zhiyu put a mask on her. She tried to push him away, but he held her still.
"Keep it on." The man held both her wrists with one hand. "This is my turf. If you're here, you follow orders."
The night the wildfire was put out, they finally caught up for the first time since reuniting.
"How have you been these past three years?"
After a long pause, that was all he could come up with: a painfully conventional opening.
Wen Chuyin's expression was calm. She didn't look at him. "Not well."
He Zhiyu gave a quiet scoff and turned toward her, his gaze burning.
His voice was steady, tinged with hoarseness.
"Funny. Neither have I."
