This Is a Tough One [Esports]

[Angel-faced, devil-hearted bottom x A truly, cosmically straight-laced, old-school top]

Jing Yun is a gaming streamer with an exceptionally sweet, delicate face, and the online crowd adores him.

At first, viewers only wanted to admire the handsome streamer. They didn't expect him to have any skill at all.

But before long, the little beauty won them over by slaying every opponent he faced. Now all they wanted was for him to shut up and stop taunting his rivals every other sentence.

Jing Yun: #Well, this is awkward#

Qi Zhou, captain of the GUG team, treats gaming like his life. He's a textbook straight man.

One day, with nothing to do after a match, Qi Zhou accidentally clicked into a livestream titled "Click to Watch a Delicate Little Beauty." There he saw a gorgeous face with a seriously manipulative, tea-like air. The next second, a shamelessly cocky voice came through his headset: "My chicken says it's had enough of the rice on the keyboard. Heh."

Qi Zhou: ...

Qi Zhou shuddered and sent him ten Super Rockets.

Jing Yun, who had been taunting people just a moment ago: "Thanks, hubby~"

Qi Zhou: ...

Jing Yun: #Well, that wasn't so hard, was it?#

Some time later, Qi Zhou stared at the all-too-familiar face in the team's training base and struggled to get the words out. "Our team doesn't... accept... guys... who..."

Later, after a match, Qi Zhou watched a crowd of fans chase after Jing Yun, calling him their wife. Unable to hold back, Qi Zhou started a livestream.

Not long after it began, the fans watched in disbelief as Qi Zhou took Jing Yun's hand. "Mine."

Fans: ??? Who's this? Is this really our top player, the one who said he'd marry gaming?

The next second, Jing Yun, still holding his hand, sat right down on Qi Zhou's lap.

#If we're doing this, let's go all in#

Reader's guide:

1. Romance comes first, gaming second. The game is original, though its mechanics, modes, and tournament system draw on real examples. You should be able to follow along even if you don't play games.

2. The characters aren't based on real people. The author doesn't watch competitions and, due to health issues, hasn't focused on gaming in a long time. Please don't compare anyone to real players! All the teams and streamers in this story came from the author's sudden inspiration.

3. Compare someone to a character and they'll lose; compare them and they'll flop.
