The Matchmaker's Mix-Up (Ashes of Love: Runyu)

* Set in the world of Ashes of Love, mainly in the Nine Heavens. Xiao Yan's background is original and has little to do with Battle Through the Heavens.

* God Yan X young Runyu, older man/younger man, arranged marriage to love, a little coming-of-age, probably quite indulgent.

* After seeing too much of the other ship and being tormented by its dark plotlines, I'm letting loose. This is mainly about the couple's everyday life, and is decidedly unfriendly to the main cast of Ashes of Love.

* The only mutual romance is Yan and Runyu.

Back when the matter of the Flower Goddess Zifen came up, Taiwei promised Luo Lin a marriage alliance in order to win the Water God over. Once the Water God and Wind God had a daughter, she would be betrothed to the eldest son of the Heavenly Emperor as his principal consort.

It seemed like an excellent bargain. The Water God's eldest daughter would marry a prince of the Heavenly Realm, winning the Water Tribe's allegiance and binding two powerful deities to their side. Meanwhile, the eldest prince was a son of a concubine, not the legitimate heir, so he posed no threat to the future balance of power in the Heavenly court. It was all benefit and no risk.

As it happened, the very next year, an edict arrived from the Nine Heavens.

A High God of the Nine Heavens had set his heart on the Heavenly Emperor's eldest son, Runyu.

Theme: Love and marriage are both utterly unreasonable.
