The Smurfs [Criminal Investigation]

Irresponsible, shameless heroine vs. righteous hero who is about to get thoroughly screwed over Lin Ziyue: Over there, beyond the mountains and across the sea... Gu Jingxing: There's a group of Smurfs? Lin Ziyue: Beyond the mountains, there may be hell * What's it like to be kidnapped into the middle of a remote forest from the start? Lin Ziyue: Thanks for asking. It's a novel experience. The kidnapper really is a lucky dog. * A county in City A has seen a string of dismemberment murders. The number of known victims has reached double digits, and the killer is still at large. The city police have urgently set up a special investigation team. A highly qualified overseas-educated consultant is assigned to the team. With blunt bangs, twin ponytails, and a pink plaid skirt on her first day, she looks as if she's wandered onto the wrong set. When they first meet, Gu Jingxing, whose work injury hasn't healed yet, is following his doctor's orders and drinking Kangfuxin oral liquid. Lin Ziyue: Do you happen to know what this medicine is made of? Gu Jingxing: ? Lin Ziyue: Periplaneta americana. Gu Jingxing: ??? Lin Ziyue slowly curls her lips into a smile. "Commonly known as cockroaches~" Gu Jingxing clamps a hand over his mouth and bolts for the bathroom. For the next few days, he suffers from persistent stomach cramps. Later, the two flee together through the mountains, with an "evil demon" hot on their heels. Lin Ziyue expressionlessly takes Gu Jingxing's service pistol and never misses a shot. Gu Jingxing is stunned. "I thought you didn't have a firearms license!" Lin Ziyue raises a finger to her lips. "But I do have a hunting license." Before losing consciousness, Gu Jingxing vaguely hears her say, "Sweet dreams." When he wakes again, he's out of danger and resting safely in a hospital bed. His teammates tell Gu Jingxing that when she carried him out of the mountains, she was covered in blood and more disheveled than they'd ever seen her. At last, on a dark and windy night, a gun points at Gu Jingxing's chest. The person across from him, however, smiles with delight: "Surprise~" * Theme: Justice will ultimately triumph over evil. Justice is never absent.
