The Guide Who Doesn't Want to Be Marked

Qi Zhen had just accepted his best friend's confession when the two of them transmigrated together.

Qi Zhen escaped from the ivory-tower-like Guide Academy. Learning supernatural abilities was cool, sure, but what was this nonsense about being cut off from the outside world and having Sentinels choose you once you came of age?!

As news of a missing, precious S-rank Guide made headlines in every major newspaper, Qi Zhen was traveling all over the place. At long last, he found his best friend from his previous life, only to arrive just as his friend graduated from military school as its top Sentinel.

And then his friend confessed to him again!

Qi Zhen: My friend, since you've lost your memories, let's forget about the time I accepted your confession! It's not that I'm breaking my promise. You never said that being together meant you'd mark me!

That was fraud, plain and simple!!!

Yu Bugui realized someone was secretly looking after him. A gift in his mailbox when he spent New Year's alone; someone offering him mental guidance when he suffered a psychic episode in the wilderness... How could he possibly resist taking such a lovely little Guide home?

They were best friends?

Hah.

There is no such thing as pure friendship between Sentinels and Guides.

Yu Bugui had threatened the little Guide who refused to come home, tempted him, and even pretended to be sick... He'd tried every trick in the book.

At last, he lowered his eyes and murmured, "I've already washed up. I'm just waiting for you to come back and mark me."

Qi Zhen: Being the one who marks and the one who gets marked is the difference between taking advantage and being taken advantage of.

He's only going to be the one taking advantage.
