Insectoid or Beta?

Colin had always thought of himself as an utterly ordinary beta.

His grades and physique were pretty good for a beta, and he was exceptionally handsome. This made him popular even among betas, and he even occasionally received a few little notes from omegas. But he had no intention of getting involved with an omega. Those possessive alphas had terrible tempers.

That was until some graduating seniors came to the academy to select trainee adjutants. One of them stopped him. The senior looked even more nervous than he did. “Colin, are you looking for a boyfriend?”

Wasn’t this supposed to be an interview for trainee adjutants? Didn’t alphas all like sweet, soft omegas? But that wasn’t what Colin was focused on. “Sorry, Major General, I only top.”

He had only planned to find a beta. Two betas could have a pretty good life together.

But the handsome major general blushed slightly. “Perfect. I only bottom, too.”

Colin: “We have to fight the bugs again? Will this war ever end?”

Cedric: “They’re called the Zerg, not bugs.”

Colin: “What’s the difference? I hate bugs.”

Cedric: “...”

After narrowly surviving a massive explosion and suffering severe injuries, Cedric, the Zerg’s most brilliant rising star, was on the brink of death. He had no choice but to hide among humans and recuperate, planning to return to the Zerg once he had recovered.

But on the day before he was due to leave, he spotted a naive, very pretty little male Zerg among the humans. The moment their eyes met, Cedric fell for him.

The little male Zerg didn’t like bugs at all. Oh, right, the Zerg. But what did that matter?

Cedric decided he had fallen in love with human culture.

Humans: monogamy

Zerg: one male with who knows how many females

They could live here forever.
