Shattered Dreams in Deep Blue

[Short story, free during serialization, BE]

The ocean is mysterious, beautiful, and dangerous.

Battered by life's disappointments, a young woman lets herself sink beneath the waves.

Amid a dazzling, surreal world, strong arms pull her back to the surface.

The sea breeze brushes against her black hair. Tears fill the pale girl's eyes, her gaze lifeless.

This is the fourth time this week someone has rescued her from trying to end her life.

Meng Sui can't help asking the question on his mind.

"Why do you want to kill yourself?"

The girl says nothing, only silently shedding tears.

Meng Sui sighs and gently brushes her hair.

"Don't try to end your life. I'll show you this beautiful world."

From then on, the icy blue of the sea grows warm. The girl receives Meng Sui's companionship, his wholehearted love, and the tender devotion he gives to someone he treasures above all else.

Sunlight breaks through the ice, and boundless, gentle romance lights up Lin Meng's heart.

From care to love, she finds the courage to keep living.

The daughter of the Lin family meets the man she will never forget for the rest of her life by the sea in the south of the country. His love belongs to Lin Meng, and his life sinks into the still, tranquil ocean.

He is a coastal lifeguard.
