False Phoenix, Fake Phoenix

In the ninth year of Yuanxi, Princess Shun'an, Wen Renjing, married the newly crowned top scholar.

A bridal procession stretching ten miles, children's songs carried all the way to Jinling, and with them came a letter of repudiation.

The news sent shock waves through the land! The poor scholar groom raised by the Kong family had broken his vow and dissolved his engagement to climb the social ladder!

On a painted boat, her close friend fumed. "Gongli Ziqian is a heartless man. I feel so sorry for you, sister."

Kong Yuyao lightly waved her round fan, smiling as if she knew something. "Don't worry. I'll make sure this hat gets returned to its owner."

She left a letter behind, changed her appearance, disguised herself as a man, and entered the imperial court.

She had only meant to seduce the ruling princess, but a beautiful older woman, brimming with charm, stirred up the still waters of her heart.

Meanwhile, Wen Renjing never imagined that after years of living as a woman while keeping her heart free of desire, a man would awaken something in her.

Goodness, how terrifying.

The two reflected on their feelings and sighed:

Kong Yuyao: "I have a taste for women!"

Wen Renjing: "I really do like men..."
