My new novel, "The Crafty Matchmaker's Tale," is now underway. You're welcome to add it to your library.
Ming Shu never dreamed that his master, Li Xing, the foremost cultivator in the Six Realms, would be willing to become his cultivation partner.
It was only because the person Li Xing held dear was his junior apprentice, who had passed away centuries ago. He searched high and low for any trace of him.
Ming Shu thought he had to keep his secret crush carefully hidden. He never imagined his feelings would be returned.
On their wedding night, Li Xing called him to the bedside. His bangs brushed Ming Shu's face, and Ming Shu was dazed with desire. But the next moment, Li Xing cut out his core pill. His brow didn't even furrow. He only said gently, "Don't be afraid. Your master is here."
Only then did Ming Shu understand: his master wanted to use his core pill to save a fellow disciple who had been poisoned.
His life didn't matter to Li Xing at all.
So why get married and become immortal partners?
To comfort his dead spirit?

When Ming Shu was reborn, he discovered that none of it had happened yet. He patted his chest in relief. "Goodbye. Not interested."
It was time to choose the master's disciples. Ming Shu decided to stay far away from that damned master and never become his disciple.
To escape his fate, he went out of his way to curry favor with his fellow disciples, hoping their team would lose miserably in the group competition. To make absolutely sure, he also went to recommend himself to the other elders in advance, covering every possible angle to turn the situation around. All that remained was to wait for the announcement.
But things didn't go as planned. After all that effort, Ming Shu managed to give his spot to the poisoned disciple, ending up in second place.
Then Li Xing said, "I intend to take two disciples."
Ming Shu: "..." Sob!

From then on, Ming Shu avoided his master whenever he could.
But he was really troubled by the fact that his master liked to cling to him when suffering nightmares. Sometimes there were even some very adult scenes, while Li Xing called out his junior apprentice's name. It was just too much.
Just as Shu Wan was deciding that if Li Xing clung to him again, he'd kick him to death, he accidentally fell into a painting of the mortal world and learned a startling secret.
It turned out that Li Xing's beloved junior apprentice was Ming Shu in a previous life.
This misunderstanding had gotten way out of hand.

Li Xing was the most powerful cultivator in the Six Realms, but so what?
He didn't care about any of that. All he wanted was to find his junior apprentice, Run Feng. For this, he spent years challenging swordsmen, searching the nine heavens above and the nine springs below, but he couldn't find the slightest trace of his apprentice.
At last, one day, his immortal sword spoke: "Disciple."
Li Xing understood. It wanted him to take a disciple.
Fine. Li Xing, who had never taken a disciple before, had to start looking for a suitable candidate.
An elder pointed to Ming Shu and said, "This disciple has excellent potential, and he really wants you to take him on. He talks in his sleep about it every day."
Li Xing nodded. "He certainly seems sincere."
But a few days later, while out for a stroll, he accidentally overheard Ming Shu discussing a strategy to make his group lose miserably. He also heard Ming Shu calmly directing everyone: "We have to lose this competition. We absolutely cannot become Li Xing's disciples."
A few days after that, while wandering around with nothing to do, he saw Ming Shu clinging to an elder's arm and saying earnestly, "I really want you to take me on as your disciple. I talk about it in my sleep every day."
Li Xing: ...
Was this the disciple who was so eager to become his disciple?
Well, in that case, he'd just have to make an exception and take him in!
Content warnings:
1. This is not a groveling romance. This is not a groveling romance. It's a story of three lifetimes, told starting from the third. Being reborn counts as one lifetime.
2. Both leads have flaws. The top is violent-tempered, while the bottom fears getting hurt and only wants to run away.
3. Updated daily. The story will not be abandoned.
Theme: Though fate may twist things by mistake, never forget your original intentions
The protagonist seems to have a bit of a masochistic tendency. I don't understand why he suddenly forgives even if he sheds a tear. Is the lower limit so low?
Hope spoilers(???)
The copy is so long (dog head)
