My Mentor Is Ranpo

It's almost finished. Once I've replaced most of the old version, it'll probably be done. I didn't do a good job portraying Ranpo himself. No one understands him, so I'll send him back. The second part will probably be free bonus chapters. I'll see when I have time to finish them (┯_┯)

I've been watching Detective Conan and taking notes. [Cover artist's handle: Jiuyue, Xiaohongshu: ijunell] Investigator Edogawa Ranpo came from a story die roll, and I played through it with my friends. In the end, I adjusted it to fit Edogawa Ranpo, so the outcome depends on the dice.

A few warnings up front: 1. Important! This is a slow-burn growth story, with detailed descriptions! 2. If my interpretation makes the characters out of character, that's on me, not the original work!!! Also, since I start writing them as children, some aspects of their personalities will change based on my own interpretation. The original doesn't describe their childhoods in detail, so the eleven-year-old Ran and the other characters are entirely based on my interpretation. So they may be out of character! Please don't read if that bothers you.

Curious, the servant opened the comic and became fascinated by its mysterious story.

Then the comic book lured the servant into forming a bond with it.

[Hello, Host! I'm the comic book's observation point. I noticed that you're fascinated by Ranpo. There's a crossover opportunity: you can take Ranpo's place and go to the Conan world! Are you interested?]

But the comic book had only just started working, and when it tried to collect data on the servant, the sight of the servant was enough to make it lose its sanity. It couldn't even get a clear reading.

[Waaah... Wait, Host, you can't do this at all!]

So the servant received an item: [Ranpo: Childhood Cosplay Outfit]. P.S. Put it on and you'll become a child version of Ranpo. It's incredibly realistic, and nobody will ever notice.

But the servant had only read Bungo xx and knew nothing about Conan or human relationships, so it was completely confused.

Just as the servant was feeling lost, the comic book had foreseen the problem and connected it to a mentor from a parallel world.

The comic book thought this would make everything foolproof, then fell asleep to evade the Hunting Dogs.

Meanwhile, in the crossover world, the comic book's mistake linked Ranpo with countless parallel worlds.

As a result, Black Ran, Red Ran, and Hunting Dogs Ran all received the comic book's request. Seeing the mission to help another version of themselves become a police officer, they thought: This'll be a piece of cake.

2. Each parallel-world Ranpo teaches the servant, who is another version of himself. It's a story of mutual redemption. The servant is learning how to be human. In its original worldview, the servant is a chaotic, mindless being, but it was an accident born of Abhoth.

3. A growth story starting from age eight. Thank you for reading about little Ranpo growing up.

4. The pacing will be very slow because this is a long story, but everything will be described in detail!

My take on a twentieth-century setting and the Cthulhu Mythos worldview

Ten-year-old Dallena is different from the others. She has known since childhood that something about her is unusual.
