My Pet Little Monster

After the apocalypse began, Lu Ran quickly became the top boss of District One thanks to her overwhelming strength, and settled into a stable life.

One day, though, she suddenly picked up a sticky lump of flesh from the roadside. It was soft and bouncy, and highly malleable.

It even had a pair of glossy, watery black bead-like eyes, along with a tiny hand the size of her palm, which pawed at her pant leg and tried to sneak a bite of her ice cream.

Lu Ran: ...Cute.

Bystanders: ???

Some time later, a horrifying humanoid lump of flesh appeared behind Lu Ran. It had twisted eyes and mangled limbs, and followed her with the unsteady steps of a baby. It often fell over, then wailed in a bizarre voice and refused to get up until it was given something sweet.

Lu Ran: So cute!

Bystanders: ????

A while after that, rumors spread throughout the district that a beautiful girl untouched by the mortal world had appeared at Lu Ran's side. Her long hair was as dark as ink, her eyes were bright and dewy, and she radiated a strange, siren-like charm that bewitched everyone.

Then she would cheerfully ask for something sweet, and get it every time.

Bystanders: She's so cute!!

Bai Zhu sneaked out to beg for food, only to get caught red-handed by Lu Ran. "Who said you could turn human? Turn back right now!!"

Bai Zhu started rolling around on the ground and throwing a tantrum. "QAQ I turned into a human based on what humans like! Why don't you like it?! Why don't you like it?!"

Lu Ran clenched her fist in solemn conviction. "People are free to have whatever tastes they want!"
