[Lord of the Mysteries] Keeper of Secrets

Blurb:

[I sit in a room

The room is piled high with odds and ends

Sunlight streams in through the glass window

Lighting up the rotten floorboards

A moldy Bible and Book of Martyrs

A disassembled bookshelf and half an electronic screen

The wreckage of the electronic age

And finally, emptiness and me

Tap

The sound of a die falling from between my fingers

Rolling

It slips through a gap in the floorboards

I listen closely

But hear no second sound]

Keeper's Journal (I)

If the world is made up of countless written modules, then I am the observer from outside the world, keeper of its inscrutable truths.

I have watched in silence since the rotten twenty-first century, witnessing new nations rise from the ruins and even the false sun fall. The dice of fate never land, and so the future escapes all control and heads into the unknown.

[Investigators, welcome to this mad and chaotic world. I am your Keeper.]

[Then let the game begin, ]

P.S. This is my own take on tabletop role-playing. The Dice Goddess reigns above all.
