[Crossover] Killing the Original Personality

Blurb: Escaping from the dark City of Rain and its muddy puddles, the shadow stretches its malformed limbs and gazes upon the world through its muddled, thoughtless eyes.

It follows its instincts and kills the host it depends on. Then, one day, it finally gains a fragment of a soul.

Desire sets the darkness ablaze. Though it can replace anyone at any time, everything it has as a shadow belongs to the person it depends on: their personality, appearance, body, and even thoughts.

Copying is its innate gift, yet it yearns for a self of its own.

And so it writes the following death notice to the world:

I harbor an irrepressible malice toward myself, and nostalgia for who I used to be.

I pray for disaster to befall me at every moment, so my life can end abruptly and reach its most tragic conclusion.

The greatest despair, the deepest regret, the most numb and helpless state.

And from that, I will be reborn, through death after death by my own hand.

From now on, I am no longer your shadow, your appendage, or your second personality.

I will become myself.

My dear, find me, stop me, kill me, and then become me.
